Getting rid of this Democrat in TX-23

Ciro Rodriguez (D-TX23) purports to be my Representative to Congress:

Mike Flynn at Big Government sums this up well:

I want to make two points; Rep. Rodriguez is an elected official with a duty to represent his constituents in Congress, no matter their political persuasion, and, he volunteered and asked for this job. He wasn’t ordered into this position by some judge, as some kind of sentence. He wants this job. It is a bit stunning that, at the first sign of criticism, he loses his temper so quickly. A confident politician would have been able to field this question.

When called out on it, Rodriquez ought to have been able to field the questions in a manner that didn’t resort to threats and a violent outburst. That he couldn’t tells you all you need to know about the political landscape today.

In this clip he swears at another constituent:

I couldn't make out what may have prompted the Congressman's use of such language at a voting constituent, but it's irrelevant anyway.  Sure, if what prompted the angry outburst wasn't true, then Mr. Rodriguez should call the guy on it but in a manner befitting a US Congressman.

Of course he's a fan and voted for Obamacare.  Mr. Rodriguez even told TEA Partiers they would get to keep their health care plans if they wanted.   Of course we all know how that is turning out.

Mr. Rodriguez's temperament alone in dealing with his constituents is enough of a reason to remove him from office.  There are at least two instances, shown above, of the man berating and using profane language towards voters.  Two dots can be connected by a line, showing a trend.  In this case, a negative one.

The man has shown, not only through his actions towards voters but through his votes for bad legislation, that he doesn't care for his constituents in Texas, let alone the well being of the country.  He has demonstrated a fundamental lack of understanding of the Constitution and misrepresents the actual effects and facts of legislation he supported and voted for, such as Obamacare.

He needs to go.

Did everybody forget about Alvin Green?

All this caterwauling about Christine O'Donnell and her (probable) defeat for the former Senate seat of Joe "I'm Second in line to the Presidency" Biden.  It seems the punditry on the Left as well as the Right has forgotten about a really unqualified, really wacko, really unstable and really bad candidate for the Democrats in South Carolina - Alvin Green.

EJ Dionne in an article in The New Republic had this to say about Christine O'Donnell and her candidacy:  Castle’s defeat at the hands of Christine O’Donnell, a perennial candidate who may be the least qualified Senate nominee anywhere in the country, does indeed mark the collapse of the Republican Party not only of Nelson Rockefeller and Tom Dewey, but also of Bob Dole and Howard Baker.

Really?  Mr. Dionne has apparently forgotten about Mr. Green.

Mr. Green couldn't cut it in the military, he's unemployed and frankly is just plain weird.  Take a look at this interview on Keith Olberman's show between Olby and Mr. Green:

Christine O'Donnell, though having some differing opinions on religion and certain social issues can at least formulate a response to queries, even if they are from the likes of a raving and moronic person like Bill Maher.  Follow this link (embedding disabled) to hear Democrat Senate Candidate lose it during a 'interview' with a local TV News reporter.

I'm as willing as the next guy to give someone a break for a bit of eccentricity, but a grown man showing off his bronzed baby shoes as some type of qualification to serve in the US Senate is - to be kind - a bit much.

Mrs. O'Donnell may have little chance of winning the election in Delaware.  Mr. Green has no chance of willing the election in South Carolina.  Yes, one could argue that O'Donnell losing the seat in Delaware impacts what could have been a Republican pick-up, as opposed to Mr. Green who's loss will impact nothing negatively for the Democrats.

But if we're going to have any kind of discussion about who is qualified or not, who is wacky or not; if we're going to continually call into question Mrs. O'Donnells mental capacity and judgement, let alone fitness to be a sitting Senator, let's please not forget to factor the Democrat Alvin Green into the discussion for a bit of perspective.

Happy days are here again...

Since the recession ended in June...2009?

Really?

What follows is obviously a pretty general and simplified explanation of things, but here goes...

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (the ARRA or 'Stimulus') was signed on February 18, 2009.  By August of 2009, only 20% of the ARRA money had been outlaid.  The recession 'ended' in June of 2009.

For the last year, our government has been spending ARRA money it had no business spending.  Is that what we are to take from this?  The ARRA was passed specifically to "create jobs and promote investment and consumer spending".  Is that what we have?

If so, why is unemployment still high at 9.6%?  Why has employment not improved at all since February 2009?  Why has the stock market effectively 'crashed' at least twice over the past year? Why aren't consumers spending and why can't business get investment capital?

Why isn't every dime of any ARRA/TARP money still not 'spent' being returned to the taxpayer or used to pay down government debt?  Why the need for additional money, to the tune of $50 billion to further enhance 'infrastructure' and "further stimulate the sputtering economy"?

Type the phrase "the need for Stimulus to aid economy" nets 19,200,000 hits.  Since there was no real need for the 'stimulus' to begin with, all the doomsday talk we heard from the Democrats was all, what?  Fear-mongering?  Bullshinola?  Pandering to special interests?  Perhaps it was simply the best way to pass massive, un-neccessary government spending proposals utilizing the Leftist maxim to "not let a crises go to waste"?

If the ARRA, the 'Stimulus', were indeed needed to save the economy it appears it failed by every measure one can find.  Or to use the parlance, it "worked far less than expected.

Truth is, the ARRA was never needed as advertised - if at all.  It was and continues to be a monumental government program to waste money our country doesn't have and to gain control of several sectors of the economy by making them dependent on government funds.

9/11: "International Burn American Flag Day"

If these are the people we're supposed to learn tolerance from, why didn't we burn the Korans again?

Gateway Pundit asks, and answers, his own question:

I wonder if the MSM will have a mass media apocalypse just like they did about the Koran burnings by some tiny church in Florida? One answer….no.

Video proof of racism at Glenn Beck rally

I'm shocked:

Are you as shocked as I?

I suppose I should have clarified the racism came from the Democrats and Liberals, not from the evil Conservatives.

Sorry.
