Ah, Earth Day. A day of celebration to our 'Earth Mother' Gaia. When every Lefty who condemns Christianity as a belief in some unknown, supposedly benevolent omnipresence comes together to offer paeans to some unknown (non-existant), supposedly benevolent earthy omnipresence.
People plant trees. They might go and buy a Prius. Perhaps install some solar panels (subsidized by the government, of course). The celebrators of all things 'organic', extolling the (non)virtues of fertilizing crops with horse crap.
A day when Greenies, who hate everything Capitalistic will wait in lines to spend money further enriching James Cameron by buying his huge hit movie "Avatar." They will pontificate (as has Cameron himself) that our world would be oh so much better if only we were more like the fictional, at one with their environment Na'vi.
On this 40th 'Anniversary' of Earth Day, I thought long and hard about what I could do. What would be my contribution to Mother Earth and her many denizens of nature?
After deep introspection, in an attempt to get a message from my Chi, the answer hit me like an organic tomato thrown by an 'green' anarchist at a G20 meeting. I spread Spectracide Triazicide insecticide over my lawn to kill all of the ants, bugs and other insect pests who decided to make my lawn their home.
If Mother Earth is going to send her insect minions into my lawn, where they then try to get into my home, they will be dealt with as any other trespassers - they will be 'shot'.
Take that Gaia.
Happy Earth Day!
