Up until now, ayone who stated they did not believe in man-made global warming/climate change hysteria (which has swept like a zombie virus through the ranks of the Left over the past few years) was referred to as a 'Denier'. The 'denier' moniker has been levied in an attempt to equate non-conformists, real scientists, pols, pundits and everyday people with Holocaust 'Deniers'. The assumption is you must be some kind of wacked-out, insane monster if you don't believe mankind is responsible for destroying the delicate balance which is Earth's climate - as though you also believe the Nazis didn't exterminate six million Jews during World War II.
Now however several people - scientists, pols, science advisors and media types are the ones truly denying the facts. Evidence has been released exposing at least some parts of the global warming idea as fraudulent and some of the scientists involved in the research and advocacy on global warming were fudging things from the very start.
Obama Climate 'Czar', Carol Browner is the picture of one of the real 'Denialists'. If you
read this story you are left with the impression that Mrs. Browner is not only sticking her head in the sand, but is also almost completely uninformed on the 'Climategate' issue to begin with. Sh continues to hold faith with the IPCC - though one of the lead IPCC scientists, Phil Jones - is at the very center of the controversy. Mrs. Brown, how exactly can you keep paroting the IPCC line when there is now justifiable question about how the climate data espoused by the IPCC was gathered? Are you a 'Denier' or simply to stupid to read?
The media, though initially hesitant? to publicize the story, are finally coming around. The only probem is they are continuing to 'deny' the power of the 'climategate' scandal.
CNN finaly did a report on the e-mails, but to downplay the issues they raise. In the mind of CNN's producers, apparently there is some large conspiracy in the fact these e-mails and other data were released prior to next months Copenhagen Conference, but there is absolutely nothing to see when it comes to 'Climategate' itself.
I suppose the ultimate expression of why the real deniers like Browner and CNN and others have their head in the sand, probably purposefully, was given by

For fun, imagine if these leaked e-mails weren't about global warming, but Gitmo or Cheney or Sarah Palin's private life. How fast would Time, Newsweek and an intensely sweaty Andrew Sullivan be all over them; calling these e-mails corruption of the highest order?
