Obama has demonstrated a trend that after highly charged incidents, he doesn't know his a-- from a hat.
During the incident resulting in the "Beer Summit" the President, after stating that not all the facts of the incident were in, stated a police department acted "inappropriately" in dealing with a black man. Of course it was later learned that the police acted just as they should have acted and the only one who acted "inappropriately" was the President himself.
Now we have the presidents response to the Ft. Hood shooting yesterday:
After news broke out of the shooting at the Fort Hood Army post in Texas, the nation watched in horror as the toll of dead and injured climbed. The White House
was notified immediately and by late afternoon, word went out that the
president would speak about the incident prior to a previously
scheduled appearance. At about 5 p.m., cable stations went to the
president. The situation called for not only his trademark eloquence,
but also grace and perspective.
But
instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and
expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly
disconnected and inappropriately light president making introductory remarks.
At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of
Interior's Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various
staffers and offered a "shout-out" to "Dr. Joe Medicine Crow -- that
Congressional Medal of Honor winner." Three minutes in, the president
spoke about the shooting, in measured and appropriate terms. Who is
advising him?
Anyone at home aware of the major news story of the previous
hours had to have been stunned. An incident like this requires a
scrapping of the early light banter. The president should apologize for
the tone of his remarks, explain what has happened, express sympathy
for those slain and appeal for calm and patience until all the facts
are in. That's the least that should occur.

This shows a remarkable lack of compassion and empathy from the President. Obama just has no frame of reference in handling these types of situations, especially if they involve the military. He has spent decades cavorting with people who wish and ask for this very type of incident to be visited upon US soldiers. Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright and others are infamous for their loathing of the military and Obama has lived hand-in-hand with these idiots for years.
Obama showed no such levity when he was pontificating about the abortion doctor who was killed some months back. And this may be picking fly poop out of pepper but he couldn't even get the award for the doctor he gave a "shout out" to right - he wasn't a Medal of Honor winner, he won the Medal of Freedom, a civilian award.
Just as his photo op at Andrews the other day with returning dead servicemen was inappropriate, so was his response yesterday. What is sad is he and his minders probably see absolutely nothing wrong with what he did.
