Super-Duper Climate Polluter, er...Computer

What uses enough energy to power 1,000 homes and blows over 14,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere?

Britain's newest computer for predicting the weather.  It is supposed to help predict how climate change will affect Britain.  I wonder if its programmers have input the computers own carbon footprint into their equations?

It also cost 33 million British pounds (over 53 million US dollars).  For that kind of money, you would hope the computer would be the best predictor of global climate change catastrophe.

Not so much.
