"End of life" replaces "Renew!"

What the hell is "end of life" care?
 
If  person if 77 years old, yet lives to be 113 years old, at what point in that window is anything determined to be 'end of life'?  The oldest living man recently died at 113 years old.  He lived 38 years past the average life expectancy (of Americans, though I think the guy was a Brit).
 
'End of life' is code for nothing else but rationing, or the complete withholding, of medical care from elderly Americans.  Once you have reached a certain age, some government suit will make the determinations about how much, if any, medical care you will need or receive.
 
How long until we get government 'health care officials' (Sandmen) making sure we all get to Carousel when we're supposed to?  (If you don't get the refernces, see Logan's Run)  Will shouts of "Renew, Renew" become the new rallying cry?
 
The government has no business determining the 'end of life'.  We have let the government determine when life begins (to justify abortion) and we can see the consequences of that.

MSNBC cups

the ba...WHAZZzzttt?!!  *sputter*, *cough*, *gag*...
 
MSNBC has a countdown clock,counting down the hours, minutes and seconds...until Obama's PRESS CONFERENCE!!!  It's running on TV right now.
 
Nothing on the website, though I did see an interesting item - 'Birthers' bring down Republican base'.  A video link to Chris Matthew's page.  It's telling to me there hasn't been any corresponding mockery of the 'Truthers'.  Just another example of the MSM carrying Obama's water. 
 
'Birthers' beware.  You risk minimalizing the good work that has been done against Obama thus far.  Just a thought.  Keep this in mind please.

Hybrid Owners - Waste fuel, more dangerous

Hybrid owners drive (on average) 25% MORE than regular vehicle drivers.  They also get more tickets and are worse drivers.
 
Who woulda thought being a self-righteous, smug jacka-- would be more harmful than not?
 
For some hybrid owners, the decreased guilt associated with improved fuel-efficiency might actually increase the number of pleasure trips. "High mileage drivers appear to be attracted to these vehicles, so insurers should take steps to verify the intended use of hybrids and validate actual miles driven whenever possible," said Dr. Raj Bhat, the president of Quality Planning.
 
Looking at moving violations, Quality Planning found that Toyota Prius drivers get 0.38 violations per 100,000 miles driven, compared to an average of 0.23. Collision loss costs are also much higher for hybrids—with comprehensive coverage loss about 17 percent higher than average. Furthermore, two—the Toyota Highlander Hybrid and Ford Escape Hybrid—have among the highest collision loss costs. For 2006 hybrid models, the costs to the insurer of comprehensive coverage were 75 percent higher than average.
 
You see?  It never was about conservation or protecting the environment.  Hybrids are all about placating enviro-guilt.
