They left behind plastic bottles, newspapers, food wrappers, gloves and even American flags they had been waving. Trash bins overflowed with items people tossed.
Twenty-one-year-old Laura Wiesner of Youngstown, Ohio, was on the cluttered Mall near the Smithsonian's American History Museum.
She says people's quick exit - and failure to pick up after themselves - was a stark contrast to how grand the event had been.
This photo is illustrative of a much greater point though and encapsulates liberalism rather well: Liberals whole philosophy is based on getting other people to pick up the slack of the moocher. Why would Obama supporters pick up after themselves when there are trash guys to do it for them? Personal responsibility and accountability are anathema to your basic lib which relegates much of the Obama inaugural speech irrelevant. Obama calls for people to pitch in, to come together, to work together, but they haven't the common decency to pick up their own trash. To take the individualist spin off of it, they won't even pick up each others trash! Obama is probably doomed to fail, not because of who he is neccessarily, but because the majority of those who support him won't do anything for anyone else, let alone themselves.
And don't get me started about the treatment of the American flags thrown in the trash. More typical liberalism. Is anyone really surprised? The flag was important enough to wave for the inaugural, but not important enough to either dispose of properly or safeguard in a proper manner. Have Obama supporters really changed how they feel about America? You wouldn't know it by the reported treatment of "Old Glory".
