If this story is true, perhaps, just perhaps, people need to re-examine their mindset when it comes to being eco-friendly. If this story is true I believe a line has finally been crossed and those purporting to be "green" have passed into full blown, massively fanatical insanity.

by design? I can't help but wax scientific: I'm no rocket surgeon, but I'm
pretty sure that when you let snow become compacted on a given surface, you usually end up with...ummm...
ice. As a matter of fact,
that's how frickin glaciers are formed (given enough time and enough snow of course...)! Hundreds of accidents resulted from the city's refusal to ensure the public safety! Merry Christmas citizens of Seattle!
