The press seems hell bent on making this an issue of how much Bush is hated in the Middle East. They conveniently leave out that most of the other Iraqi journalists apologized to Bush for what happened after the fact. How about the correleation of this act and the actual freedom which is now the norm in Iraq? Also lost on the MSM. Would this a--hat have tried this with Saddam? But I digress...
My concern after watching this video? Where in the hell was the Secret Service and other security? "Shoeman" had time to not only throw one shoe, but reach down, take off his other shoe and chuck it too! And there were a few more seconds before any meaningful security presence subdued the thrower and secured the President! Maybe five or six seconds all together before subduing the guy and securing the President. Doesn't this bother anyone else?
Had that been some type of improvised grenade, knife, or shoe bomb our President would be seriously injured or dead today.
One other thing which struck me as I watched this video: President Bush must have been a helluva dodge ball player growing up...
