Obama will Come Off Smelling Like A Rose

Obama's mistakes, miscues, missteps and dangerous decisions will be spun over the next four years:
 
1.  The Economy:  Simply put, all the balme will still fall on Bush.  Does anyone on the right honestly believe that when Obama raises taxes, allows the Bush tax cuts to expire and dramatically increases spending, that these steps will be seen as "stimulating the economy?"  When all of these actions result in an even further slump into possible depression (at the very least an extended recession) that he will take any responsibility for it?  The Left and the Obama administration will simply wave off criticism with such vapidity as, "We inherited this bad economy.  It's years of Republican mismanangement which caused this.  We are doing what we can."  Perhaps Obama will use this as part of his re-election campaign in 2012, "We need more time for our policies to work and turn our economy around.  Did you think that we could undo all the damage of the Bush years in just one term?"  Obama already hinted as much on my last point in his acceptance speech.
 
2.  The War:  Obama is pretty clean on this one too.  Think about it.  If he doesn't bow to pressure from Lefty groups to fulfill his campaign promise to end the war, all he has to do is use our own justification against us, "The situation remains unstable.  We cannot leave Iraq until the climate is more favorable for victory."  The Left will moan and groan, a bit, but he'll get the benefit of the doubt they never gave Bush.  But what if Obama does remove our troops from Iraq and things fall to pieces?  "We did what we promised the American people and our brave troops - we eneded the war and brought them home.  We cannot be held responsible for the bloodshed and chaos since we left.  This would never have happened if not for George W. Bush."
 
3.  Defense spending:  No one with any brains thinks Obama is going to try to increase spending on social programs or invoke his utopian vision of a new America without cutting the Military to the bone.  It will come partly as a result of our own success.  We haven't been attacked since 9/11 and our overall success in the GWoT will make it sound like a good idea, "We have brought our troops home.  We no longer need to spend large amounts of taxpayer money supporting this war which Bush started.  By removing our troops, we can cut defense spending and use the money to implement initiatives associated with our health care programs..."  Weapons systems and other R&D type stuff will either get cancelled or cut  (missile defense and stuff like the F-22);  Obama has already promised to do this. Obama will "balance the budget" on the backs of the DoD (remember Clinton circa 1993-94).  Look for talk of "Peace Dividends" again at some point.  If you hear anyone on the Left throw that term out there, be assured they are going to slash the hell out of the military (as already suggested by Barney Frank).  There is just no way the Obama administration is going to be able to tax their way into the kind of stuff they want.  They are going to have to go after the military.  It's the easiest government agency to actually cut and it takes longer to realize the negative impacts of those cuts (we didn't know how bad a shape the military was in from Clinton's cuts until after we were attacked in 2001).  Those of us in the military knew, but you scumsuck liberal civilians didn't care. 
 
4.  The spread of Jihadism:  Obama will simply blame any further increase in Islamic radicalism as a reaction to Bush policies and American Imperialism.  They've already been using this one for a few years now.  They will simply blame Bush, and Obama will go back to the time honored Democrat playbook of appeasement.  We will throw more money at the problem but will not respond with any kind of negative consequences.  Simple talk of using "diplomacy" will placate the MSM and his supporters.  Obama could also use this as another avenue of attack for re-election, "We need more time.  Of course would wouldn't be able to fix these problems in only four short years.  It will take a longer to undue the damage of the previous administration."  Like how all he has to do is tie it back to Bush?  The MSM will gleefully regurgitate it and his sycophantic supporters will eat it up.  What if the US is attacked again?  What if Iran does get it's nukes and attacks Israel?  I can tell you right now, barring a nuclear detonation in the continental US, I don't think Obama has the stones to do anything meaningfull in defense of this country.  There is nothing in his past, his politics, or in his career thus far to prove otherwise.  What is really scary is that his base and the Left would back his play if he did indeed do nothing.  They are all about appeasement and most of them don't care for Israel anyway.  Another win-win for Obama.
 
5.  Energy:  This one is a bit more tricky.  Right now, no one cares about energy.  Gas prices are back under $2 a gallon (at least here in San Antonio as of this writing) and there just isn't any real interest in it - yet.  That will change though a few months after Obama is sworn in.  Spring time always brings out the green grass, new leaves on the trees, flowers in the fields and Al Gore on the news hurling his climate change screed into the ears of a more than willing administration.  This will be one of the easiest areas for Obama to begin massive control over people's lives and may be where he takes aim early on.  Why?  Because a whole lot of idiots fell for the Goracles BS and have been spoon fed it by a willing media for more than four years now.  Obama is all in favor of "cap and trade" and without serious Republican oppostion (hopefully they will finally grow a spine) he could probably get it pushed through Congress with little or no obstruction and more than ample public support.  Unless gas prices jet back up to near $5 a gallon people won't even notice - until it's too late.  In two or three years when they can't heat their homes due to Obama's willingness to allow the coal industry to go bankrupt, perhaps he'll suggest we all just put on a sweater...
 
Those are just a few things I had rambling through my mind today.  We'll see if thay pan out. 
 
Now a word on this garbage I've been hearing about Obama governing from the "center."  We will know by January 21'st how this is going to play out.  Better than even money says the chances of Obama being a "centrist" or even tacking to the center are about as good as Dracula actually drinking...wine.
 
He has already appointed noted hyper-partisan scumsuck Rahm Emmanuel as his Chief of Staff.  I've read stories that John Kerry wouldn't mind being the Secretary of State all that much.  By the time Obama takes office, most (if not all) of the higher cabinet posts will be filled.  How many centrists do you really think Obama is going to put in serous leadership positions?  Based again on Obama's past and his career up to this point, it ain't gonna happen folks.
 
What really bothers me is that I hear some on the right saying he will be more centrist, since he tacked center during the campaign.  I have heard both Bill Bennett and Michael Medved (whose opinions I respect, whose shows I love and whose books I've read) say as much on their respective radio shows over the past two days.  This is not a knock on either man but I can't help but think that this must just be wishful thinking, trying to calm those on the right who are still upset from Obama winning the Presidency.  This kind of thinking needs to stop.  If it were based on anything other than his slight jog to the center during the latter part of the campaign then...maybe.  I am unwilling to bet the farm though on this pipedream.  If it walks like a duck and all that. 
 
Simply put, Obama is no centrist, he will not govern from the center, nor will he make any meaningfull attempt to "reach across the aisle" except maybe to McCain (and that is something we definately don't need.  McCain had his chance and he lost; he didn't win, his message didn't work, and his own centrism bit him in the backside.  Why do I say that?  Simple - he lost.)

World 25% More Dangerous Already

Russia to deploy missiles to Polish border.  Along with anti-missile missile defense technology of their own ("jamming equipment" apparently).  OK.  No, I don't have any real data to back up my percentages.  I just Hope that number doesn't Change to 50% or higher. 
 
At least not until January 21st.
 
Funny how this announcement come barely 24 hours after Barack Obama wins the Presidency.
 
Obama isn't even the President yet and the world is already a more dangerous place...
 
Wasn't Hope-N-Change supposed to end all of this type of aggressive behavior?  I though "Bushitler" (as he is affectionately known by some on the Left) was the one who made the world more dangerous.
 
Huh.
 
Predicted Obama Presidential "Action":  Capitulate to Russian "security measures" by removing ABM sites/bases from Poland and other states.  Cancel further development of this already proven "unproven technology".  Invest allocated defense moneys "saved" from American Imperialism by developing genetical engineered rainbow colored Unicorns.

Americans have finally lost their damn minds.
 
I said it.  Call me whatever you want, but tonight I am ashamed for my country.
 
Americans have forgotten.  They have handed over their freedom, liberty and sacred honor for the sake of "Change".
 
They fell hook line and sinker for the "gimme, gimme, gimme" mentality which has been drummed into their microscopic little minds for decades now.   They forgot what it means to be self reliant.  What it means to actually have to work for something.  To take pride in that work and then stand up and say, "I did that on my own!"  They didn't teach their children what it means to live through real privation.  Our country has the world's richest "poor" and all these people know is to hold out their hands and say "give me more!  I demand my share!"  Too bad they never learned that for someone to have a real share, one must work and toil for it. 
 
They will now demand their pound of flesh.  Oh yes, they will demand it in spades!  They will not care from whom that flesh must come - oh, until they flesh peddlers show up at their door in the coming years.  "But wait" they will demand, "I voted for Change!  I voted for Hope!"
 
"Of course you did!  That was our plan all along, silly.  We knew you would believe exactly what we told you to believe in.  We have told you for decades that WE are the answer, not you.  We gave you money that wasn't yours.  We gave you bad houses, bad schools, bad government, because we always told you exactly what you wanted to hear.  You stuck your head in the sand and stuck your hand out for more.

Go ahead and bathe in it America!  Anyone who reads this will think I'm just a pissed off right-winger and can't take it.  And you're right.  I can't.  I can't take it that the (formerly) greatest people on Earth couldn't see that they were being sold a bill of goods, or worse that they just didn't care.  Either way, tonight, right now, I can't believe my fellow countrymen have decided against liberty and freedom and opted to hand it all over to a group I wouldn't on if they were on fire!
 
Tonight, Americans have voted for:  Thievery, Socialism, Marxism, inexperience, cowardice, lies, less freedom, more taxes, international impotence, you name it.  Yep.  Enjoy the bed you've made for yourselves.  The sad thing is that by this time next year, most of you dipsticks won't even know how bad things are.  You'll continue to stick your heads in the sand - until the checks stop coming.  Of course by then it will be too late.
 
I've ranted enough.  I'm sick for my country.

Obama's Energy Plan: Food or Electricity

Remember all of Obama's soaring rhetoric about "sacrifice".  Once he enacts his energy plans, "sacrifice" will more than likely turn into privation.  This is a great piece on what exactly will occur if Obama has his way with energy.
 
Well, in the past, he's indicated his plan to tax energy companies even more and give "qualifying" people a $1000 subsidy to pay for their energy. Well, Obama must not pay his own bills at home or else he would know that $1000 after his 100% or higher rate increase for energy, plus the added taxes that will be passed on to regular consumers, won't pay for 20% of any one household's energy bill. Possibly less.
 
Under the Obama plan, when energy bills are averaging $300-$400/mo or 20 to 80% or more of a household's monthly income (do you know what the average social security check is?), when the food prices (helllooo?) are 25-50% higher from these raised energy prices and mortgage rates have ballooned due to our current economic crisis, how exactly are people supposed to survive?
 
In addition, he claims that people will get an offset in this energy price increase by simply changing light bulbs, better insulation or updated appliances like heaters, air conditioners, water heaters, etc. Well, maybe Mr. Obama doesn't live in this world either because the only "cheap" thing on that list are light bulbs. How is the average household paying a hefty mortgage and already trying to stay in their home supposed to update this equipment? Where is that money coming from? Exactly what new equipment is going to help reduce energy bills to anything resembling its past affordable rates, even if it cuts this new higher bill in half, it will still be twice as high as just two years ago? Something that is already affecting people's ability to heat their homes. Does no one do the math anymore?
 
Speaking of socialism, why would any President artificially force energy prices higher and then make people dependent on the government for a stipend to keep their energy on? A stipend, I've already noted, that won't be worth the check it's written on. Oh, except I nearly forgot, on top of that he will write laws that require the energy companies to keep pumping this electricity and natural gas for free into "qualified" homes. Another cost passed on to all other consumers and greatly impacting our economy while making more and more people dependent on government largesse. Because the only way that is going to happen is if the government provides huge subsidies to energy companies to offset the cost of this free energy.
 
If anyone has had to work with the "disadvantaged", with the elderly on fixed incomes or the working poor, there is only so many that actually qualify based on income. Even under an extended Obama plan raising that income bar, there would still be millions more without heat in the winter, air conditioning in the summer or even electricity at any point because they did not qualify for this direct assistance. There are plenty of people who have to choose today between electricity or heat and food. What Sen. Obama is planning will increase those having to make that choice by ten fold.
 
Let us not forget, if we haven't already, in the heady rush of decreased gasoline prices lately, that Sen. Obama has also indicated that he would be happy to see gasoline at $10/gallon. This is one of the reasons that the democrats have refused to consider off shore drilling, to have a short term moratorium on federal gas taxes or any other efforts to decrease the price of gasoline or heating fuel. He has even indicated the likelihood of increased taxes on oil and gasoline to artificially inflate these prices as well and further drive up the cost of heating as well as transportation and food prices.
 
Why is Obama's radical plan, a plan that will likely cause great hardship in the next decade or greater if allowed to exist, getting a pass from all of these media sources? Is it actually necessary to bankrupt millions of people and destroy our economy for years to come for some ecological impact that no one really fully understands nor can predict it's exact time, if ever?
 
Wake up and smell the Soviet bread lines, comrades. This is the most radical aspect of Obama's entire policy and it is a manufactured crisis, no more or less than the untold numbers of crisis created in third world countries "for the greater good", that usually ends up with worse consequences, like famine, a broken economy and a broken, displaced populace. It usually ends up with government power being extended over greater and greater parts of society in an alleged attempt to stave off each more devastating effect of government interference in and control in the market.

Liberals Trying to Pull Obama to the Left

As if any of these groups would have any trouble pulling Obama to the Left.  This is like saying that water works hard to keep steel from sinking.  An interesting article from the WSJ.
 
A phalanx of liberal think tanks and interest groups -- anticipating a Democratic victory on Tuesday -- are mobilizing to push Sen. Barack Obama to the left of his campaign positions.
 
In recent weeks, groups have held conferences, drafted policy papers and lobbied campaign advisers in the hope of influencing what they believe would be the most receptive administration to the political left since Jimmy Carter.

Obama to bankrupt Energy for sake of...

First through making any type of conventional energy production prohibitively expensive:
 
 
Coal is demon in this clip, but the same could be said for natural gas.  And don't even think this won't also apply to nuclear energy (the production of or construction of new plants - even though nuclear produces zero carbon emissions...).  What do you think that little policy will have on America's familes?  Is it really sound policy to want to bankrupt (through Cap & Trade) the sector responsible for 49% or America's domestic energy production?  And when I say domestic, I mean residential - the places where the families of America live.
 
How about the economy?  Bankrupting 49% of America's energy production is sure to have a positive influence, no?
 
Add to that "skyrocketing energy prices" in other sectors and one wonders how exactly that r'tard wench thinks The Messiah will be able to put gas in her car:
 
 
But it's all good, right Lefties?  Halliburton won't be able to rule the world through it's energy policies anymore with Obama in charge...BWAHAhaha!!!

I would like someone from the Left to explain to me though exactly how the EITC is a tax cut?  The EITC is a refundable, not really a cut right?  Isn't the EITC really another redistributionist (read, Socialist; read, taking money from earners and giving it to non-earners) tool Mr. Obama?
 
How does one offer a tax cut to those who don't pay any income taxes exactly?
 
Just how far down the wage scale must we, the American taxpayer, slide before we don't have to worry about an Obama administration taking even more of our own money?

2 Days to Show Obama's an R'tard

I'm tired of PC BS about Obama!  I've been watching and see how this inexperienced, Socialist, Marxist, liberal a-hat has been treated with kid gloves.  Barack Obama is the single most, how can I say this delicately, retarded american in the country.  Well, not quite as retarded as that idiot spouting how Obama will fill up her gas tank and take care of her mortagage, but I digress...
 
The man has 'associations' with terrorists.  'Associations'?  Good word MSM.  This is like saying that bin Laden just has a casual aquaintance with the Taliban, just an occasional suare' they hold in their caves in Pakistan - nothing to see here - move along!
 
Fact - Obama cavorts with domestic terrorists and has a more than casual relationship with at least one PLO (read TERRORIST)scumbag.  This alone should disqualify the man from ANY office in the ENTIRE COUNTRY, let alone the Office of the President!
 
Let me clarify.  By retarded I mean the man has no idea, has no rational faculty, as to what it means to be an American or what this country should stand for.  Just listen to his speeches.  Look at his voting record.
 
Class warfare?  Check.  Denigrate capitalism?  Check.  Wanting to keep more of your own money selfish?  Check.  More government control, more government spending, more government dependance...check, check and check!
 
Wake up America!  Of course at this late stage in the game, anyone who hasn't either voted, or made up their mind who they are voting for is also retarded, but that's another post.  Honestly, chances are that if anyone hasn't really made up their mind one way or another with a couple of days left AFTER WHAT, TWO YEARS OF CAMPAIGNING IS, INDEED, A RETARDED AMERICAN!
