"I Apologize" but blame Right Wingers, Falwell

This is the apology offered by Ex-Dem Chair Don Fowler for making light of possible destruction from Hurricane Gustav and it's coinciding with the Republican National Convention:

"If this offended anybody, I personally apologize," Fowler told ABC News. "It was a mistake, and it was a satirical statement made in jest. And one that I clearly don't believe."

"One doesn't anticipate that one's private conversation will be surreptitiously taped by some right-wing nutcase," said Fowler. "But that's the nature of what we're dealing with."

Fowler said his remark was "facetious" and a "satirical comment" on the late Rev. Jerry Falwell.

"I believe in a benevolent God," said Fowler. "I'm a religious person. It was a facetious statement, some might even say satirical, play off of what Falwell said."

"If it offended anybody. I'm sorry for that," said Fowler. "I don’t think anybody in America wishes for something bad to happen to New Orleans. I certainly don't."

This is what (and how) he said it:

His apology is pure, unadulterated, BULLSHINOLA!

Here we have yet another Lefty caught "telling it like it really is" in their minds.  Mr. Fowler had nothing on his mind but how this event would best be used by the Left (particularly those in his own Party), NOT about how this will affects real people's lives.

Mr. Fowler is a scumbag of the 1st Order!

Is there a Lefty on the ENTIRE PLANET that when caught doing something wrong/stupid CAN AND WILL ACCEPT SOME DAMN PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND NOT COUCH ANY SUPPOSED "APOLOGY" IN BLAMING OTHERS?!!

Hey Obama, was Palin "punished with a baby?"

Two questions for the Obamamessiah (with great accompanying vids for effect):

1) Given the fact that Sarah Palin's youngest child has Down Syndrome, do you believe that the governor and her husband were "punished with a baby"?

2) If, at the last minute, Gov. Palin had decided that she did not want the baby, should it have been legally permissible to allow him to die unattended in a linen closet in order to preserve a woman's "right to choose"?

"Climate Policy" = Social Engineering

If you live in North Carolina (or anywhere if the alarmists/activists have their say) here's what supposed "climate policy" will do for you:

At the present time the North Carolina Legislative Commission on Climate Change - co-chaired by Rep. Pricey Harrison, D-Guilford, and John Garrou, lawyer, environmental activist, and husband of Sen. Linda Garrou, D-Forsyth - is considering a set of policy proposals that, if enacted, would dramatically reduce our freedoms and impact our prosperity. The alleged goal of these proposals is to change the climate a hundred or so years from now. The actual effect is to micromanage our lives today. If enacted, these mandates would, through regulations and taxes, attempt to tell the citizens of North Carolina:

• How we can travel and commute,
• Where we can live,
• The size homes we can live in,
• The amount of land we can live on,
• The size cars we can drive,
• How we can generate electricity,
• How much energy we can use,
• The kinds of appliances we can have in our homes,
• How we can light, heat, and cool our homes, and even
• How we can purchase automobile insurance.

And there is no evidence that these restrictions on our freedom, even if enacted by every country on the planet, will have any noticeable impact on the climate - not in 100 years, not in 200 years.

Let me point out that this list represents only a fraction of the 56 proposals that, if enacted, begin the process of remaking the lifestyles of North Carolinians in the image of environmental ideologues and extremists. As Al Gore has pointed out, the fight against global warming will require “a wrenching transformation of American society,” and as Barack Obama has warned (threatened?): “We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times”

Biden the Buffoon

Did you know Biden was from Pennsylvania?  Watch this video; he says it about a billion times:

From Hot Air:

If people worry how Sarah Palin will stack up against Joe Biden as a campaigner, perhaps this video clip of Biden introducing Barack Obama yesterday in Pennsylvania might help answer it.  Biden struggles to articulate his words, offers a weird version of his childhood move out of Scranton, and in general comes across a little buffoonish.
