We can't hug each other with nuclear arms.

This guy just doesn't get it.  From the NYT:

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 — Senator Barack Obama will propose on Tuesday setting a goal of eliminating all nuclear weapons in the world, saying the United States should greatly reduce its stockpiles to lower the threat of nuclear terrorism, aides say.

I think this exceprt from John Hawkins at Right Wing News is pretty good:

It's almost like the Obama is a child's toy, who has been programmed with nothing but Hallmark Card greetings and random snippets from All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten.

You pull the string once and it's, "I love puppies and warm milk!"

You pull it again and, "I want to be the candidate of change and hope!"

Pull it for a 3rd time and it's, "Let's get rid of all the world's nuclear weapons because we can't hug each other with nuclear arms!"

Mr. Obama needs to get a clue.  Maybe he has seen Superman IV too many times.

MSM reporting on Iraq less and less?

Could be.  Why?  Read this from Newsbusters:

Investor's Business Daily explains:

Ever since the Sept. 10 testimony of Gen. David Petraeus, we've heard less and less from the mainstream media about the war in Iraq. The old adage "no news is good news" has never been truer.

That the media are no longer much interested in Iraq is a sure sign things are going well there. Instead, they're talking about the presidential campaign, or Burma, or global warming, or . . . whatever.

Why? Simply put, the news from Iraq has been quite positive, as Petraeus related in his report to Congress.

Consider:

  • On Monday came news that U.S. military deaths in Iraq fell to 64 in September, the fourth straight drop since peaking at 121 in May and driving the toll to a 14-month low.

  • Civilian deaths also have plunged, dropping by more than half from August to 884. Remember just six months ago all the talk of an Iraqi "civil war"? That seems to be fading.

  • The just-ended holy month of Ramadan in Iraq was accompanied by a 40% drop in violence, even though al-Qaida had vowed to step up attacks.

Last Letter of Doomed Al Qaida Chief

"We are so desperate for your help."  Sounds like the words of an undefeated enemy huh Senator Reid?!

From World Tibune.com:

BAGHDAD — The U.S. military is eliminating Al Qaida's chain of command in Iraq.

Officials said several leading aides to Al Qaida network chief Abu Ayoub Al Masri have been killed by the U.S.-led coalition. They said two out of the four foreign aides of Al Masri remain alive.

On Sept. 25, the U.S. military killed an Al Qaida chief deemed responsible for transporting foreign operatives to Iraq. The Al Qaida commander, identified as Abu Osama Al Tunisi, was killed in a U.S. air strike as he met his colleagues in Musayib, about 60 kilometers south of Baghdad.

Shortly before he died, Al Tunisi wrote a letter that warned of a threat to Al Qaida operations in Karkh. The lettter, found by the U.S. military, sought guidance from Al Qaida leaders amid coalition operations that hampered Al Tunisi's network.

"We are so desperate for your help," the letter read.

Keep pounding them.  Keep killing them.  Keep defeating them.

Illinois school bows to Muslims

Muslims have succeeded in getting Christmas and Halloween cancelled/renamed at this school district.

Some interesting things in this story.  Muslims aren't referred to as Muslim, they are called Arabs or Arabic.  I didn't know Arabic was a religion or used as an expression of faith?  Hmmm.

Some Muslims speak out against this policy which is good and is featured in the story.

Arab (read Muslim) students are allowed to pray AT SCHOOL during Ramadan.  There is no clarification if Christian kids are given the same consideration.  Anyone want to guess on that one?

Here's exerpts from the story.  Follow the link for video as well: (emphasis is mine throughout)

(CBS) OAK LAWN, Ill. A southwest suburban school district has taken action, responding to the concerns of a parent who is Arab-American. - (read Muslim)

But now, as CBS 2's Suzanne Le Mignot reports,
other parents are angry that traditional school holidays will be renamed or even eliminated.

"That does not represent all the Muslims, all of the Arabs at that school," said Qais Nofel, the father of a student in Ridgeland School District 122.

There was some heated discussion between parents outside Columbus Manor Elementary School in Oak Lawn on Friday. The thought of no more traditional holiday celebrations has many parents really upset.

For now,
children in Ridgeland School District 122 will celebrate fall festival instead of Halloween and winter festival instead of Christmas.

Superintendent Tom Smyth said,
"I go back to our policy which says that public schools are to remain neutral in this respect."

Meantime,
Arab children are being allowed to pray during what's being called their own time, that's lunch time, during Ramadan. - (contradiction anyone?)

The slow creep towards dhimmitude continues...

Ron Paul Supporters True Colors

In the spirit of honest debate, and how I'm getting tired of hearing Paul supporters cry about how they are constantly being "denied free speech".  I offer this small video:

Content Warning: Language.

Never will you see another candidates supporters act in such a manner to another candidate.  This is the true nature of Paulbots.  Derogatory, abusive, malevolent.   These are people not interested in debate or honest discourse.  These are people so blinded by their own animosity for another person they cannot see the damage they do to themselves and their guy.  This type of behavior impedes honest efforts by RP supporters who really support their guy, but don't buy into this type of behavior.

I'm all for people being 'spirited' and supportive of their guy, but when it crosses this line, it goes beyond acceptable political discourse.

It's a common tactic of the left, now of Paulbots, to accuse others of the same behavior they themselves are engaged in.  I've said it before and I'll say it again: Paulbots are all for open debate, until you criticize them or their guy, or their particular stance on an issue - then look out.

If you do those kind of things to Paulbots - you too will feel as if you are the target of a Move-On.org ad.

2 yo's 'exposed' to Folsom St. Fair

Yeah, two year old children, taken to this "leather fair", where nude and partially nude full grown men were parading around in all their "exposed glory."

And where does all this wickedness occur?  Why San Fransicko of course!

Take a look at this from Hot Air.  It will make your skin crawl: (emphasis mine throughout)

Two-year-olds Zola and Veronica Kruschel waddled through Folsom Street Fair amidst strangers in fishnets and leather crotch pouches, semi and fully nude men.

The twin girls who were also dressed for the event wore identical lace blouses, floral bonnets and black leather collars purchased from a pet store.

Fathers Gary Beuschel and John Kruse watched over them closely. They were proud to show the twins off.

“They will see more than the kids with moms and dads in Iowa,” said Beuschel, who wanted to expose his children to San Francisco?s diverse community. “Every parent has to decide for themselves what is right for them. And I respect that. And we decided that this is right for our children.”

Beuschel and his girls were at the 22nd Folsom Street Fair, an annual leather event in San Francisco?s South of Market district, which showcased outrageous costumes, fetish attire, and a community obsessed with bondage, whipping, and spanking.

For crying out loud:

“Why do (these people) bring kids here? This is a leather fair for god’s sake,” said Bahran Aliassa, who was masturbating in public. He has been doing it annually for the past six years.

Oakland resident Veronica Charles, 36, was with a baby stroller and said her son was too young to understand. “I don’t think I’ll bring him here when he is 6,” Charles said.

Disgusted yet?  If you can stomach more, head over to Hot Air for photo's and links to Zombie showcasing the whole nasty affair.

ABC aired "phony soldiers" before Rush

Amazingly, Media Matters nor any members of Congress bothered to excoriate Brian Ross from ABC News as they did Rush Limbaugh.

From Jawa:

Where was Media Splatters and their ever-capable army of incompetent interns? Did they miss this? Brian Ross of ABC did a report on scam artists that scam the military and the public, and they mentioned Jesse Macbeth in particular. Media Splatters? Nowhere to be found:
Just days before Rush Limbaugh was attacked by a number of press outlets for discussing "phony soldiers" on the air, ABC's Brian Ross did a segment on "World News with Charles Gibson" dealing with "phony heroes...scam artists...posing as the war heroes they never were, claiming credit for acts of courage in Iraq and Afghanistan."

Marvelously, this story was aired on Monday, September 24, just three days before Limbaugh made his comments. And, as noted in a NewsBusters posting by the MRC's Brent Baker, the report even mentioned the same "phony soldier," Jesse Macbeth (pictured to the right), that Limbaugh did on his program Thursday.

SO WHERE WAS MEDIA SPLATTERS? Do the have a "full transcript" of the ABC report that they could snip-snip for maximum smear potential? Why didn't they take on Brian Ross with their trademark brand of "snip-snip-then-put-into-Keith-Olbermann's-teleprompter?"

More from
Peter Wehner at NRO:
What’s obviously going on here is that antiwar advocates were deeply damaged by the MoveOn.org ad smearing General David Petraeus. They were desperate to try to climb their way out of the hole they were in — and so they decided this was their opportunity to find a way out. MoveOn.org attacks Petraeus, they say, but Rush Limbaugh attacks members of the military who want to withdraw as “phony soldiers.” So if Republicans are going to criticize us for what we said about General Petraeus, they should criticize Limbaugh for his slander.
