Lou Dobbs on reporting "Illegals Immigration"

More specifically the MSM reporting, or lack there of, of context when reporting on "illigal immigration".

I saw part of this this morning.  I couldn't beleive I was hearing this kind of stuff on CNN:

"Has anybody over the past hour on this broadcast or this network reported, or any other network, reported that we bring in more than two million immigrants into this country lawfully each and every year? Has anybody on this broadcast, any news organization in the country, said, wait a minute, why in the world are we worrying about illegal immigration into this country and their -- and their situation, before we're worrying about how long it takes to become a lawful immigrant in to this country and what we're doing with people who are playing by the rules? This is upside down. It's wrongheaded. And it is simply, to me, a travesty that mainstream media journalists are not focusing on the facts."

NBC Cameraman Flies Mexican Flag - from his Camera!

This happened in Houston, Texas.  Poor old Sam Houston is turning over in his grave.

The cameraman is a Mexican though, right?  What's the big deal?  No undo bias from NBC.  He's just showing his solidarity with his Mexican brothers and sisters right?

Now if he were flying a American flag, then we'd have some problems with objectivity right NBC?

Brian writes:

I was video taping with my anti-illegal alien group at a protest on Saturday. Our Houston NBC affiliate was at the protest to do a story. The following picture [above] is a screen grab from the event. The NBC cameraman had a Mexican flag attached to his camera! This is making headlines on some forums here in Houston, and was talked about quite a bit this morning on both Houston and Dallas talk radio channels. Fair and balanced, unbiased and non partisan, right? Ha!
So, NBC sends a crew to cover an anti-illegal immigration rally....and there's a Mexican flag on the camera? I feel sorry for the lady standing with him near the end of the video, who I'm guessing is the producer. She seems really uncomfortable.

Here's the video:

Truthers in Turmoil; Idiocy Exposed

Posted from LGF:  In the wake of the Oakland gas tanker incident, in which steel melted for only the second time in world history, the “Truther” morons are posting increasingly panicky attempts to “explain” this impossible event all over the web. Here’s a hilarious topic about the desperation at Fark.com: Panicky 9/11 truth nutjobs debate Oakland gas tanker incident, see their WTC conspiracy theories collapse as quickly as that highway did.

Rosie O'Donnell is a big fat -----

Read into the title whichever expletive comes to mind.  This waste of humanity named Rosie deserves it.

I can't stands no more!!!!!

Decorum here at Townhall is the only thing preventing me from "lowering myself to their level" as my wife likes to say.

Read this and prepare to vomit.  Posted from Newsbusters:

The May 1 edition of "The View" marked the fourth anniversary of President Bush’s famous "mission accomplished" announcement with Rosie O’Donnell’s predictable rants against the war and the administration. The co-host claimed Afghanistan had nothing to do with September 11 and downplayed the Al Qaeda threat claiming it is simply U.S. government scare tactic. Additionally, Rosie, with the aide of guest co-host Ricki Lake, followed Charles Rangel and Andy Rooney to assert that U.S. soldiers are not patriots, but losers who join out of desperation.

O’DONNELL: Wait, can I just say something? Why do people enlist in the Army?

RICKI LAKE: Because of a ineducation (sic), and they're poor.

O’DONNELL: Thank you.

LAKE: And that’s the only way to get one.

O’DONNELL: The vast majority– Yes, Elisabeth. It’s true!

No, it’s not. According to a recent study by the Heritage Foundation, noted that military enlistees are "better educated, wealthier, and more rural on average than their civilian peers." Additionally, "recruits have a higher percentage of high school graduates" and "the distribution of household income of recruits is noticably higher than the entire youth population." Of course, facts don’t matter to Rosie O’Donnell. After all, fire can’t melt steel.

Token non-liberal Elisabeth Hasselbeck responded harshly and Rosie continued to smear volunteer soldiers before she claimed that she does support the troops.

HASSELBECK: First of all, in the past year, the testing scores of our armed services have been higher than ever, so the education level-

O’DONNELL: You are wrong. We have more convicted felons in the Army because we’re allowing them to get through.

HASSELBECK: So they're awful. They’re awful then.

O’DONNELL: Elisabeth, I do everything I can to support the troops financially and emotionally. I love them as much as you do. I'm as much of a patriot. I want them home.

The fact free analysis continued as Rosie made this observation.

"Well, listen, Elisabeth, we shouldn't be fighting this war, because we were not attacked by either of the nations we invaded. 19 Saudis were on those planes and we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq."

Perhaps she’s forgetting that Afghanistan’s then ruling Taliban knowingly harbored Al Qaeda training camps. Also, 15 of the hijackers were Saudi, two were Emirate, one was Egyptian, and one Lebanese. Rosie then continued to downplay the terrorist threat.

ELISABETH HASSELBECK: Do you believe Al Qaeda, do you believe Al Qaeda is alive and working and planning in Iraq?

O’DONNELL: Well, I think there might be some guy on dialysis in a cave, but I don’t think he’s really a threat.

HASSELBECK: You don’t think there are operatives in Al Qaeda, the number one guy--

O’DONNELL: There are terrorists in America too. What about Tim McVee (sic)? What about him? He was a terrorist in America.

HASSELBECK: Does he have cells operating right now in this country?

O’DONNELL: Well, you know, they use those words so that they can scare people "terror" and "cell."

HASSELBECK: Well, guess what, guess what. Terrorists are scary. Terrorists don't need us to help them be scary. They’re scary. They’re scary people.

Contrast in Images? - Commies is Commies

Since today is May Day, the traditional international day for commies, socialists and others who are "for the workers", I figured I'd try to post some images and contrast them with the "immigration reform marches" going on today.

After you see these images, you tell me what the "immigration reformers" are really after:

Chinese Commies:

Fully engage in the movement to increase production and to practice economy to set off a new upsurge in industrial production, 1965

Russian Commies:

Cuban Commies:

cover of cuban poster book

North Korean Commies:
America Gets It

American Commies: (Taken right from the Communist Party USA Website)

And this image from today's "Immigration Reform Rallies": (Mexican Commies?)

Associate Director of Development, Jorge-Mario Cabera, of the Central American Resource Center, hands out flyers to Tuesday's multi-ethnic immigrant workers May Day march, Monday, April 30, 2007 in Los Angeles.(AP Photo/Gus Ruelas)

Notice any resemblence to the symbolism between the images?

Now, tell me this is about "comprehensive immigration reform."

My thoughts on Castro

Rarely am I as crass as I am about to be...

Castro should die.  He needs to die.  Gone.  Bye-bye.  So-long.

He is a tyrannical dictator and should have been disposed of decades ago.

The only reason he hasn't murdered more people than he did is the population of Cuba wouldn't support internal genocide.

Anyone, ANYONE who says different is a closet commie.  If you will be intellectually honest with yourself and analyze the situation, you'll see I'm right.

Again, Castro (and those like him around the world) need to die.  'Nuff said.

Al Qeada in Iraq Leader Reported Dead

Another one bites the dust!  I'm still trying to figure out how we're losing Sen. Reid...

Posted from Hot Air

Fox is reporting that Zarqawi’s successor as leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, Egyptian born Abu Ayyub al-Masri, has been killed “near a bridge in Northern Baghdad”, apparently bumped off by his own Al Qaeda crew.

US sources can’t confirm his death for certain yet, so we will update this post as soon as we know more. Obviously, if true, this is huge news and cause for great celebration. There have been some major arrests and deaths in the war on terror this week, but al-Masri would nonetheless be the biggest fish in a long time.

MORE: This looks promising:

“Primary information indicates he was killed, but when you have such a senior figure like Masri you have to do further checks, including a DNA test,” Dabbagh [Maliki’s spokesman] told Dubai-based al-Arabiya satellite channel in a telephone interview.

There’s debate on some of the wire reports as to whether the Iraqi government has his body or not, but if they’re talking DNA then they just might.

RED ON RED NOT SO BLACK AND WHITE? PJM’s Richard Miniter thinks Al-Masri was likely killed by Iraqi terrorist hunter groups, not Al-Qaeda. Given the $5 million bounty the Coalition put on him, that sounds quite plausible to me.

Dems 9/11 Truther Problem

Photo.  Posted from Hot Air:  (if the photo doesn't show, follow the link to get it.)

Front and a little to the right (of the frame).

obama.jpg

The Republicans have a war problem in 2008, but so do the Democrats. They’re just different war problems, reflecting the polarity of the two parties’ support bases.

For the GOP, it’s the fact that the base supports the war while most of the country just wants to be out of it.

For the Democrats, it’s a Truther problem. Until the major Democrat presidential candidates refute these Truther clowns, they’ll find themselves in photos like this one or videos like the one in which John Kerry acts like he’s never heard the bark of a raving moonbat before. These vignettes make their whole party look stupid. The problem is, as soon as the Democrat presidential candidates do refute the Truthers, they’ll see some of their most motivated support start melting away to the likes of Dennis Kucinich.

Rosie Wrong on Steel - sites Kerry as Truther

AS if John Kerry had any authority to speak on the issue.  Rosie's dead wrong on WTC 7 and her 9/11 kookiness and is grasping at straws.  Posted from Hot Air

Allah’s away on vacation so it’s left to me to update you with the latest ravings from Rosie. She is leaving The View but she won’t be forgotten. How can such a pile of pigheaded ignorance, a woman who was once incapable of calculating fractions on the air but now passes herself off as an authority on structural engineering, possibly just pass quietly into the night?

She won’t. She can’t. She doesn’t need The View to spew, not when she has a blog, a webcam and a personal cast of sycophants.

So she posted a video on the r blog today. In it, she reacts to reader mail about the tanker fire that burned up a good section of highway and, yes, melted steel. Melted. Steel.

In Rosie’s world, the concept that steel can melt defies physics. Even though steel is known to melt at about 1500 degrees F. Even though steel doesn’t just grow in fields of giant I-beams, to be harvested by diamond-tipped tractor blades. Even though the entire process of manufacturing steel involves heat.

Anyway.

You’ll have to go to the r blog and watch a dreadful video of Rosie and pals being, well, themselves–smug in their towering vapidity. But it’s worth it, just to hear her cite John Kerry as a Truther.

That’s based on this exchange, which Allah blogged about a while back. Allah was more charitable to Waffles than I would have been. My take was closer to Ace’s–9-11 Trutherism ought to get the same “let me look at the facts and get back to you” respect that Holocaust denial gets, which is to say, none. It sounds like Big Ro sees Kerry as a potential ally in truthiness. And I’m sure Waffles would be only too happy to have Rosie’s support, even if it means rolling around in the Truther mud with her.

Muslims Burn Koran - No Outrage

Posted from JawaThis NBC report from Chad depicts the "scorched earth" campaign being waged by the Janjaweed, which includes the burning of Korans (along with the rest of the village).
Yet surprisingly, there is no outrage from the world Islamic community!
Where are the riots? Where are the banners reading "Death to The Janjaweed"?
I mean... shouldn't they at least murder an Imam in protest or something?

Apparently in the mainstream Muslim world, it is perfectly alright for 'Arab Muslims' to exterminate entire villages of 'African Muslims', but one false report about a Koran being desecrated at GITMO, and all hell breaks loose.

But who are we kidding? Muslims committing atrocities?
Deep down, we all know this is somehow the work of those damned Zionists.
