We abandoned eastern Europe after WWII.
We abandoned the Cubans at the Bay of Pigs in the 60's.
We abandoned South Vietnam in the 70's.
We abandoned Lebanon in the 80's.
We abandoned the Kurds and Somalis in the 90's.
We now have a plan in place to abandon the Iraqi's in this new century.
The legacy of all these mistakes of political policy resulted in decades/generations, of war, genocide and the loss of national honor.
I will forever be ashamed that my legacy after 20+ years of military service will be to leave my children and grandchildren with more problems and most certainly future, more deadly wars.
America has lost it's way. When we are willing to sacrifice Victory and Justice for political expediency and moral relativism, it seems we may be doomed to discover too late our mistakes.
